Group Effort Foundation provides three educational tracks:
Our experienced and dedicated teachers are truly remarkable. The progress our residents have made is the proof. Group Effort’s school, “Teaching All Children,” has an exceptionally high rate of graduates. In fact, last year five of our residents even continued on to college.
Students benefit from the 1:12 teacher-to-student ratio and the balanced schedule: math, English, science and social studies in the morning; and life skills, group counseling or field trips in the afternoon. However, while a consistent structure is essential, our experienced teachers know how and when to adjust the teaching techniques and curriculum to best help students reach their potential.
Athletics are promoted in various ways. There is a Group Effort basketball team through Parks and Recreation. The team plays at a community center in Davidson County. Residents also have memberships to the YMCA. Group Effort encourages residents to be their best academically as well as athletically. The company even funded a resident with outstanding ability to play junior league football.
We heavily promote the importance of graduating from high school and often work beyond the call of duty to help our residents achieve that. When the big day comes for successful graduates, family and friends are invited to help celebrate with roasts and toasts, parties and praise. We make a really big deal out of it! We want them to remember that day with pride for the rest of their lives! More than a milestone, we want them to see it as a springboard into a bright future.
